Online Exhibition rules and selection process

Terms and conditions
Closing date for submissions was 1 July 2020

1. There is no submission fee for the online exhibition and there will be no commission payable to NNAC on sales. Any sales will be a transaction between the artist and the purchaser. NNAC, through the online exhibition, will facilitate the initial exchange of information.

2. Artists must notify NNAC by e mail
nnartcircle@yahoo.co.uk of any sales so that the piece can be marked as sold on the website.

3. All work submitted is expected to be for sale. When pricing artwork you should not include packaging and shipping costs. In the event of a sale you will need to discuss this and agree the amount with your buyer. It will be made clear on the website that shipping costs are not included in the price. Artists are responsible for ensuring that they receive agreed payments for artwork and take out any appropriate insurance for shipping. NNAC accepts no responsibility for non payment by the purchaser or loss of/damage to the artwork.

4. Work may be offered for sale framed or unframed and it will be noted on the painting details which of those applies. If a work is for sale framed then the usual NNAC rules with regard to standard of framing should be followed.

5. Artists must bear in mind that international approaches may be made about their work. The online exhibition is not restricted to the UK.

SELECTION PROCESS 2-D Work and Sculpture
The selection panel will be made up of all available members of the Council, except the secretary and treasurer.

All the submitted images will be circulated to the selection committee on Saturday 11th July who will scrutinise them that morning and individually vote “yes” or “no” to each one. No discussion will take place between the members of the committee. Each committee member will return their votes by 2pm on that date. The votes will then be counted and those artworks with a majority “yes” vote will be selected to be in the exhibition. To this end it will be ensured that the selection committee comprises an odd number of members. Submitting members will be notified soon after selection whether or not their work has been selected.

The selected images will then be uploaded to the website exhibition pages and the exhibition will go live on 1
st September 2020. It is the responsibility of the artist to notify the NNAC secretary if any of their selected works become unavailable before or during the exhibition. No substitutions will be accepted.
