Issy Coe
My art is inspired by the beautiful East Anglian landscape and explores many different approaches in the creation of my paintings, in which I try to capture the essence of the landscape. Watercolours are my first love but I also enjoy working in oils, pastel and mixed media. Subject matter includes landscapes, seascapes, water, boats, harbours, birds, still life, and more.
Following Art at A level, I trained as an Occupational Therapist and studied Art as a Therapeutic Medium, and then worked for a short while as an Art Therapist but then didn't pick up a paint brush for nearly thirty years ! I have since attended numerous short courses over the years in order to keep current, and commenced a BA(Fine Arts) which unfortunately I was unable to complete due to teaching commitments.
I currently teach art classes, run workshops, carry out demos and offer 1:1 tuition.
