Denise Wingrove

Denise Wingrove

I studied surface painting and fashion/textile design at Gt Yarmouth College of Art & Design, followed by life drawing and painting courses at Wensum Lodge, Norwich for many years.
I draw inspiration from various sources - my own photos, sketches and collected reference material and objects. My main focus is how colours interact with each other and the effects light and shade have on the subject. Recently I have developed my style to include collage and mixed media. I feel this has added a new dimension to my work and find that there are limitless ways to progress and expand new ideas in this area.
Many artists have influenced my style of painting, in particular Jenny Wheatley, Moira Huntley and the collagist Rex Ray.
My website is listed below, through which further information can be requested.
