Demo - Liz Balkwill 22 January 2022
Liz is a well known artist who works mainly in pastel and oils. She is a full member of the Pastel Society and the Institute of East Anglian Artists, and exhibits regularly at the Mall Galleries with the Pastel Society, ROI, SWA and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. Liz is also a tutor and a member of NNAC.
She demonstrated a still life for us, from her own set up. She had prepared by doing the drawing and an acrylic block in, on pastelmat, before the demo. She then worked over in pastel, starting with the darks. Then the gloves literally came off as she worked on the lighter areas, blending where needed and passing on lots of tips. Thank you Liz!
