September 2024 Oils demonstration by Bryony Knight

 On Saturday 21 September, North Norfolk-based artist Artist Bryony Knight gave NNAC members and guests a fascinating and inspiring demonstration of her oil painting technique. Based on the theme of 'Expressionism in the style of Van Gogh', Bryony produced an oil painting depicting a typical Norfolk cottage, using expressive marks and colour inspired by the work of Van Gogh. She also introduced the idea of using chalk mixed with oils to give it more body, which was a revelation to most of the audience!
